Gaelic for Son of the Red King, the Mac Ruaidri model is made to be an affordable shelter that keeps your family safe from nearly any man made or natural disaster. With the use of high strength cold formed steel and 3/16” thick steel panels you get an underground structure that is impressively strong for its size. Designed to be easily modified and customized to meet your requirements. Can be installed under a home, your backyard, or underground near your favorite hunting spot.

This model can be purchased with the Andair VA-40 air filtration system and blast valves. You can order the VA-40 system without the sealed carbon filter tub that catches chemicals and pathogens. The HEPA pre-filter that comes with it will catch particles and radioactive material. If needed, you can purchase and install the carbon filter tub at a later date. Standard version max depth will be two feet with aggregate and soil or concrete, three-foot max depth option will also be available.

Different styles of doors can be installed including a vault style of your choice as long as we can get it to fit, but this will likely significantly increase the manufacturing lead time. Fully finished ready to go interior is an optional upgrade. We also have experienced professionals ready to install your very own personally customized shelter.

Designed in collaboration with USA Bunker Company to make the most affordable shelter that meets or exceeds our strict quality and safety standards.

Size inside, between studs and joists, of the main room compartment is a nominal 7’-5” (Wide) X 10’-10” (Length) X 6’-11” (Ceiling Hight). The outside width is just under 8’-6” to avoid wide load permits and additional shipping costs. Designed to be buried up to two feet of soil or combination of aggregate and concrete (concrete thickness limited to 12”). Max depths may need to be changed due to surrounding conditions and is site specific. Total shipping weight is under five tons.
